Wouldn’t it Be Nice by: Ava Raye Warren if cats lived forever? I wish you weren’t on your ninth life. I wish I did not have to fear crushing you when I pick you up. I wish your fur was long and deep black again, just like the day we got you. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could feel your purr instead of your ribs when I pet you. Wouldn’t it be nice... Ava Raye Warren is an 8th grader at Bothwell Middle School. She enjoys The Beatles, playing the trumpet, and spending time with her friend, Betty. She is a Yooper.
